The fourth Country Under the Vines event held at the Longyard Hotel during this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival has proven to be a success, raising nearly $28,000 for the local Ronald McDonald House – nearly double its original aim of $15,000.
The money will help the facility, which is based at Tamworth hospital, continue operating.
“So currently we’re full with five families in the house here, the financial burden on those families is always a lot so if we can help ease that pain while they’ve got children in hospital that’s what we’re here to do.”
The 2017 event has already been locked in for Sunday, January 22.
