The reading and writing theme extended to Mayfield East and West public schools today, with Dymocks Children’s Charities donating $10,000 worth of books to each, as part of a national program.
It will see Mayfield East’s library alone gain about 500 new titles.
“It’s very easy to get caught up sometimes with the digital technology with what everybody claims is what the kids are most interested in. But you won’t see a more excited group of kids than we saw this morning receiving their books,” said Paul Swain from Dymocks Children’s Charities.
