Two men armed with a meat cleaver and knife have terrorised staff at a fast food outlet in Coffs Harbour.
The pair entered the Park Beach Eagle Boys outlet at around 9:30 last night and demanded money.
They escaped with cash in an allegedly stolen red ute which was later discovered on fire in bushland at Toormina.
Last night’s incident follows a string of armed hold-ups on the mid north coast between Wauchope and Woolgoolga over the past two weeks.
Detectives from Strike Force Mehi are appealing for any witnesses to last night’s robbery and car fire to come forward.
