After an increase in reports of harassment at Tyagarah Beach, Byron Shire Councillor Michael Lyons is calling for an alternative ‘clothing optional’ beach.
He’s considering putting a motion before Council to establish a 12-month ‘clothing optional’ trial along a stretch of Belongil Beach.
He says the area is less isolated and easy for police to monitor, while still providing a space for naturalists.
