It’s been a long time coming, but today the new and improved Belmont Police Station was officially opened.
It’s the first of three station refurbishments in a $29 million upgrade of the Lake Macquarie Local Area Command.
“The investment that’s been made here today, the investment that continues to be made in this particular area is one that gives me a great deal of pride and thankfulness.” said NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione.
Belmont Police Station has been fully operational since November last year.
The upcoming renovations of Morriset and Toronto Stations are due to finish in the next 12 months.
