SALVOS GET READY TO FUNDRAISE

Following an organisation restructure, the Salvation Army has appointed fundraising coordinators.

Andrew Dunkley will cover the Central West district, which includes the North West and New England regions.

He’s in Tamworth talking with donors this week, including Farrer Agricultural High School, which has raised about $50,000 for the charity since 2007.

The 2016 Red Shield Appeal is also a major focus of the visit.

“Some regions will have a sporting event, I think they’re having in Tenterfield they’re going to have a golf day, others will have road side points where people can give donations.”

The appeal begins in May.
