LISMORE SIEGE ENDS IN TRAGEDY

A stand-off between a man and Police in Lismore, has come to a sad end.

A 33-year-old man’s body was found in a Dalley Street home shortly after 7:30 this morning, after a firearm was discharged.

Police first responded to the house at 4:30 on Wednesday afternoon, putting the street in lock down for 39 hours.

Lismore High School has been closed for two days, due to its proximity to the scene.

A critical incident team will now investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
