If you were out and about in Southport today, you might have caught a glimpse of one of the new trams hitting the road for its first daytime test run.
It came out of the depot and travelled down Nerang and Queen streets, before heading back to the depot.
“Somebody said the trams just gone past and I’ve come running out it was so quiet… Amazing.”
“Today was all about showing the people the trams and getting used to the lights, so I ask people to please be safe.”
The daytime test runs will continue all week.
