CLIFFORD ST. TRAFFIC LIGHTS PROPOSAL SCRAPPED

Plans to install traffic lights at a notorious Suffolk Park intersection have been scrapped by Byron Shire Council.

It comes after the Roads and Maritime Services deemed the lights at the intersection of Clifford Street and Broken Head Road unsuitable.

Council will now investigate constructing a single lane roundabout instead, at an estimated cost of $2-million.
