GREAT OPENING ROUND FOR CALLAN O’REILLY AT NZ OPEN

Toronto’s Callan O’Reilly sits in outright second following the opening round of the New Zealand Open.
Fellow Hunter golfers didn’t fare so well, with James Nitties and Nathan Green the next best at even par.
O’Reilly had two birdies, a bogey and an eagle on the front nine.
This birdie late in his round moved him to five under, but he missed the chance to grab a share of the lead by failing to capitalise on a birdie opportunity on the last hole.
