Entertainer Jon English has been remembered as a true icon of Australian rock,
following his death aged 66.
The singer and actor died overnight from complications following routine surgery.
He was a familiar face on the Mid North Coast, having spent the past decade living in Coffs Harbour.
Promoter John Logan says English was loved by many.
“He lived at Boambee, you know people would see him down at the supermarket, you’d sometimes see him at the local club, up for the raffles, he was part of the community here and he loved living here,” Mr Logan said.
