The Hunter’s Aaron Royle has made a successful return from a calf injury, finishing fifth at the Oceania Triathlon Cup in Wollongong.
Royle was in control after the swim and bike legs, but was chased down in the run, as his build-up to Rio continues.
Meanwhile, fellow Hunter athlete Holly Khan won the women’s race at the Coffs Triathlon.
“Very happy it’s over but it was a great race, everything came together well except for a bit of a fall off the bike, a big slide out but happy to get up and continue on after that.”
