Newcastle Council Environmental Officers are busy responding to a large amount of asbestos dumped illegally in a trailer at Minmi Road Wallsend.
The trailer, which has had registration plates removed, was dumped on a vacant block near the Caltex Service Station.
Officers are currently en-route to deal with the waste and move it to their Summerhill waste facility for examination.
