NEW ADDITION TO TAMWORTH MARSUPIAL PARK

There’s a new addition to Tamworth’s Marsupial Park and it’s arguably one of the cutest creatures there.

This emu chick is just a week old, and mum and dad aren’t letting anyone get too close.

It’s one from about eight eggs that the male emu sat on for almost two months.

And is the third emu bred at the park in the last three years, all to the same parents.

Friends of Marsupial Park volunteers say the pair might have to be separated come breeding season next year, as the emu enclosure hits full capacity.
