Labor pre-selection is expected to begin tomorrow for the new-look federal seats of Hunter, Shortland and Paterson.
Shortland is being vacated by long-serving member Jill Hall, who announced her retirement yesterday.
It’s unclear where fellow Labor MPs Pat Conroy and Joel Fitzgibbon will nominate, with the seat of Charlton absorbed into Hunter, and parts of Hunter moved into Liberal-held Paterson.
