POLICE HUNT GUNMAN AFTER SOUTHPORT SHOOTING
Gold Coast police are on the hunt for a gunman, who shot a man after knocking on his front door.
The 23-year-old man opened the door of his Southport home at about 8:30 last night, and was shot in the abdomen and leg.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, but has since been listed as serious.
Critical care paramedic, Darrin Hatchment, said initial reports led paramedics to believe the man was shot with a paintball gun, but it quickly became clear he’d been shot with a real weapon.
Police don’t know if the attacker fled on foot or in a vehicle.
