NOT GUILTY TO MURDER DESPITE ADMISSIONS

A woman has been found NOT guilty in a Hunter murder case, despite admitting to the crime.
29-year-old Anne Maree Wotherspoon had pleaded guilty to the 2002 robbery and murder of Margaret Anne Gall in her Raymond Terrace home.
But in the Newcastle Supreme Court today, Judge Latham concluded Ms Wotherspoon’s admissions were unreliable on the grounds of her psychiatric illness.
Three other people charged with murder over the case have been cleared.
