A man has been charged with the indecent assault of a child at a shopping centre in northern NSW last week.
Police allege the 11-year-old girl was indecently assaulted while shopping last Thursday afternoon at a shopping centre in Yamba.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of a 50-year-old man at a home in Illuka about 11am yesterday.
During a search of the home, police also allegedly seized a number of items relevant to the investigation.
The man was charged with two counts of indecent assault of a person under 16.
