Farmers on the North West Slopes and Plains can expect above average rainfall for the next 12 months.
The Elders longer range forecast, released today, shows well above average rainfall is expected for April, June, July, September, November and December.
Climate experts agree the current El Nino weather event, which traditionally brings dry conditions, is in a decline.
The weather system is expected to return to neutral by the middle of the year.
