SANTOS PROTEST FOLLOWING $2.7 BILLION WRITE DOWN

Hundreds of people are expected to take part in a protest tomorrow at Santos’ Leewood water treatment facility, following news of the company’s plunge to a $2.7- billion loss.
The write- down was announced yesterday and attributed to forecast low oil and gas prices.
Over the past two months the waste water site has been a target for protesters, who want Santos to cancel its Narrabri Gas Project.
Nearly 30 protesters have been charged by police to date.
