WEATHER: EL NINO’S IMPACT ON GLOBAL TEMPERATURES
NASA has just released a report into the latest statistics regarding global warming. The El Nino has influenced overall global average temperatures.
January 2016 became the ninth straight hottest month on record for the planet as a whole. The average was a huge 1.13 degrees above average, which is a significant margin.
It has been cold across parts of Northern America, Asia and Europe, with some great skiing conditions, but the average was offset from the above-average temperatures inside the Arctic Circle.
So it appears those continents stole the cold from the far north. It is likely that February will make it 10 months in a row, equalling the record set in 1944.
Tomorrow the showers along the NSW coast will become more active, with the weather remaining fine inland.
