GOLD COAST SHORT FILM REFLECTS ON CHARLIE HEBDO ATTACK

Gold Coast artists have teamed to created an inspirational short animated film about the worldwide reaction to the Charlie Hebdo terrorism attack in Paris.

I am a Pencil is about freedom of expression and involved more than 5000 drawings.

“We were running out of time so Carol got whole team in, a whole bunch of artists and they came for a day and ten of them came over and just spent the day going for their lives so we could get it finished” said Director Joe D’Arcy.

After being unveiled at a film festival in California, on Friday night it’ll be shown at the one night Flicker Fest in the Gold Coast Arts Centre.
