NURSING HOME PROGRAM MAKING WISHES COME TRUE
A Newcastle woman is proof you’re never too old to realise your lifelong dreams.
99-year-old Mabel Thomson flew in a helicopter for the first time today, taking in the sights of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
It was all part of the ‘Lifetime Wish List’ initiative, a program run by her nursing home, Fronditha Care Aged Care facility at Mayfield West.
The program was introduced as a unique way to help residents fulfil a wish, with one person chosen every second month.
Mabel is the first person to take part.
