A 16-year-old boy is due to face a Children’s Court, following his alleged involvement in two armed hold ups in Armidale.
At about 11.50 on Sunday night a 51-year-old man picked up the teen in a taxi on Alexander Street.
When the taxi stopped at Kirkwood Street, it’s alleged the boy threatened the driver with a sharp object and demanded cash.
It’s alleged the teen was also involved in another robbery with a delivery driver, earlier this month.
The accused was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with two counts of robbery while armed.
