Hundreds of lanterns have lit up Newcastle foreshore to mark Chinese New Year.
They stretched from Wickham all the way to the Nobby’s Lighthouse.
There was also dragon dancing and live performances to entertain the crowd.
And just so you know – 2016 is year of the monkey.
