17 ARRESTED DURING BIKIE OPERATION ON CENTRAL COAST

17 people have been arrested, and drugs, cash and prohibited weapons seized, during an operation targeting the Rebels motorcycle club on the Central Coast.

During the past two days, detectives from Strike Force Gateley executed several search warrants at homes across the region, including Lisarow, Killarney Vale, Budgewoi, The Entrance, Hamlyn Terrace and Mannering Park.

A tattoo parlour at The Entrance was also searched.

More than 200 officers were involved in the operation, including the riot squad, dog unit and PolAir.

Prohibited drugs, pill presses, a handgun and a large amount of cash was allegedly seized.

Police say of the 17 arrested, 10 were members or associates of the Rebels bikie gang.

Around 40 taxation notices were also served.
