STAND-OFF HEATS UP OVER BOOMERANG PARK DRAFT PLAN OF MANAGEMENT

Port Stephens Council has been forced to put the public exhibition of Boomerang Park’s draft Plan of Management on hold, after three councillors lodged a rescission motion.
Council last night voted to exhibit the draft document starting today, despite concerns from some residents it’ll pave the way for development in the park, including a housing estate.
But that’s now been put on hold, following a rescission motion by councillors Geoff Dingle, Peter Kafer and John Nell.
The motion will now be debated at council’s meeting next Tuesday.
