A young family is recovering after a terrifying home invasion in Raymond Terrace.
Just after 5 o’clock this morning, a 38-year-old woman was confronted by an intruder, wielding a glass bottle, in her Shearman Avenue home.
Her 17-year-old daughter rushed to her aid, and was also attacked by the man, before neighbours managed to scare him off.
Two younger children escaped unharmed – while the mother and daughter were transported to the John Hunter Hospital, each in a stable condition.
