The selfless dedication of the region’s volunteers has been honoured during a ‘Gift of Time’ ceremony in Tamworth today.
Volunteers from 87 organisations were presented with certificates in appreciation of their efforts.
“It really warms my heart to see the level of volunteering that happens in our region and community, and it’s not just Tamworth, it’s Nundle and it’s Barraba and it’s Manilla and it’s everywhere.”
More than 370,000 volunteer hours have been clocked up in the area during the last year.
