Police are investigating the death of a 23-year-old man, who died after being in police custody, in the state’s north yesterday.
Officers took the man to Lismore Hospital for medical attention at about 11pm last night, after he’d been detained for acting irrationally on Sampson Street in Bangalow.
The man died in hospital while receiving treatment.
