It’s relatively quiet on Newcastle Harbour today, with shipping in and out of the port suspended for 12 hours.
Tugboat engineers went on strike after unsuccessful negotiations with employer, Svitzer Australia, over the replacement of their existing enterprise agreement.
The port will re-open at 4pm following the industrial action.
