The New England mail centre on Goonan Street in Tamworth was evacuated last night after, reports four suspicious parcels had been located in the facility.
Just before 9 o’clock, emergency services attended the scene, establishing an exclusion zone.
Following consultation with the police bomb disposal unit, New South Wales Fire and Rescue seized the items.
Investigations are continuing.
