INFANT INJURED AFTER AEROSOL CAN THROWN ONTO FIRE IN RAYMOND TERRACE

A 16-month-old girl has been treated for burns to her leg after being injured by a small explosion at Raymond Terrace.
Emergency services were called to a home on Richardson Road around midnight.
The infant was treated by paramedics at the scene, before being taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
It’s believed the explosion occured when an aerosol can was thrown onto an open fire, scattering hot coals.
