The upgrade project on Tumbi Creek Road has received an additional cash boost of $1.75 million.
The money will go towards a new footpath, to improve pedestrian and cyclist access between the Gregory Street roundabout and the Wyong Road intersection.
The upgrade is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
