PERRY HAPPY WITH MAGIC MILLIONS DRAW FOR CONCHITA

The Paul Perry-trained Conchita has drawn barrier five for Saturday’s Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic on the Gold Coast.
The filly has only completed one successful run in her short career, a win at Randwick on October 10 over 1,000-metres.
“Conchita though’s got them beaten … goes on to beat Sophena.”
The Newcastle trainer says the draw gives the filly every chance to win the $2.5-million race, but favourite, Capitalist, will be hard to beat from gate two.
The pair went head to head at Wyong on December 17, but unfortunately Conchita’s saddle came loose and she was unable to complete the race, with Capitalist winning easily.
