WALTER TAYLOR SHIELD UP FOR GRABS

The 24th edition of Armidale cricket’s Walter Taylor Shield gets underway tomorrow.
After pulling out at the last minute in 2015, Ballina is back, meaning the tournament returns to a full eight-team draw.
A Barbarians outfit has replaced Sydney side, Northern Districts.
Tamworth will be out to defend its title, while the hosts are seeking their first crown in 11 years.
All matches see teams face 50 overs each, with the final to be held on Thursday.
