OXLEY POLICE SET OFF FOR CANBERRA IN MEMORY OF FALLEN COLLEAGUES

With a mix of pride and sadness, officers from the Oxley Police District left Tamworth this morning, en route to Canberra for the Wall to Wall Remembrance Ride.
Held for the past decade, the event commemorates officers who have died in the line of duty.
It has special significance for the region’s officers after Senior Constable David Rixon was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop in West Tamworth in 2012.
The ride begins tomorrow at 10am.
