REDHEAD BEACH CREEK REALIGNED DUE TO WATER QUALITY CONCERNS

Following concerns about water quality, First Creek at Redhead Beach was realigned today, so that it flows straight out to sea.
The creek recently began flowing north and pooling towards the shark tower, creating an enticing spot for children to swim.
But Hunter Water and Lake Macquarie Council tests found it had low levels of faecal bacteria, consistent with urban waterways.
