Hunter basketballers Suzy Batkovic and Katie Rae Ebzery have taken another step towards representing Australia at next year’s Rio Olympics.
The pair has been chosen in a 12-woman squad for a test event in the Brazilian capital in January, where the Opals will face teams from the host nation, and Argentina and Venezuela.
The Aussies will also get the chance to train at the Olympic venue, with an unofficial scrimmage against Brazil.
