COMMUNITY FAREWELLS FIREFIGHTER “SANDO”
Mourners have a packed a community hall at Branxton in the Hunter Valley, for the funeral of RFS volunteer Paul Sanderson.
Mr Sanderson died of a heart attack while fighting a fire near Kurri last week.
48-year-old “Sando” had been with the RFS for nearly 20 years, and had recently been made a life member.
Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons paid tribute to the father of two during the service.
New South Wales RFS flags are flying at half mast in tribute to Mr Sanderson.
