In Cessnock, they’re spreading the christmas spirit this evening – hundreds are turning out for Carols in the Park.
But this year, the community is also attempting to break a Guinness world record for the largest number of people dressed as elves in one place – at Baddeley Park.
The Christmas Elf challenge will raise money for Jodie’s Place – a local women’s refuge.
So how many elves are needed to break the record?1,793 to be exact.
