NSW FARMER’S ASSOCIATION MAKES SUBMISSION TO IPART

The New South Wales Farmer’s Association is calling on the state government to consider more than financial costs and benefits when it comes to drought assistance.
Despite the latest drenching of rain across the North West, farmers say the four year drought hasn’t broken.
The association has lodged a submission with IPART, which is creating a framework to assess relief programs.
It suggested certain taxes and levies should be waived for farmers who are struggling.
