A man is due to face court after he allegedly threatened motorists with a replica pistol, while travelling on the M1, between Newcastle and Sydney.
It’s alleged the 35-year-old passenger leaned out of a blue 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer while on the motorway yesterday, and pointed a fake gun at passing cars.
The incident was reported to emergency services, before police from Kuring-Gai Local Area Command pulled over the car at Normanhurst.
The man was later charged with four counts of intimidation and one count of possessing a prohibited pistol.
He’ll face Hornsby Local Court early next year.
