CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON WILSON RIVER BRIDGE
Oxley Highway to Kundabung upgrade has reached another milestone, with construction starting on the new Wilson River Bridge.
The first of 140 girders have been put in place, to support the deck which stretches more than 500-metres.
The bridge is part of the $5.6-billion Pacific Highway Upgrade.
“It’s going to reduce travel times, increase safety, reduce transport costs, and make life a lot better for everyone that uses the Pacific Highway,” Member for Lyne David Gillespie said.
The first four lanes of the bridge are on track to open by 2017.
