Richmond Valley Council CEO John Walker has announced he will step down in late January.
Mr Walker, who’s been in the role for four years, is returning to Western Australia to be closer to his children and grandchildren.
He’ll become the CEO of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Council.
The announcement comes amidst ongoing discussions concerning a proposed merger between Richmond Valley and Kyogle Councils.
