NEWCASTLE MOURNS PARIS TERROR VICTIMS
A crowd has gathered at Christ Church Cathedral overnight, to pay respect to lives lost in the Paris terror attacks.
Mourners lit candles and took a moment to reflect on the violence, which has so far claimed the lives of 129 people.
Meantime, grief is continuing to be felt across the country today, Governor-General Peter Cosgrove has this morning been the first to sign a condolence book in Canberra for the victims of the attacks.
Attending a ceremony at the French embassy this morning, he said Australia is united with France.
“Today we’re all to some degree French, as we stand with the people of the great French republic in their sorrow”.
