Port Macquarie’s North Shore is one step closer to being connected to the town’s sewer system, with the completion of the Hastings River ‘under bore’.
The 540-metre pipeline will transfer sewage from the river’s north, to the existing system on the southern end.
The focus will now turn to completing street mains and connecting properties to the network.
Council says the $9.5 million project is on track for completion by July next year.
