COMPETITION HEATS UP FOR TAMWORTH CYCLE CLUB RIDERS

Cyclists from across the region have saddled-up for the Tamworth Cycle Club inter-club criterion race.

Riders from as far as Inverell made the journey to Tamworth yesterday, with local cyclist Sam Spokes winning the A-grade race, ahead of Ben Clark.

The race up the leader board, just as fierce as the one on the road.

The Armidale team riding away winners in the Italian pursuit – a format that allows D-grade cyclists to ride with A-graders.

The morning also presenting an opportunity for up and comers to try criterion racing.
