After three months of work, Murwillumbah’s main street is almost rebuilt.
100 year old pipes under the road were causing flooding in storm season and had to be replaced.
The project was completed weeks ahead of schedule.
“We’ve only not worked two days since we started two months ago and we’ve had really good support from the locals and shop keepers allowing us to get on with the job.”
Both lanes of the road will be re-opened to traffic some time next week.
