STOCKLAND GREENHILLS TO MORE THAN DOUBLE ITS SIZE IN REVAMP

Stockland Greenhills shopping centre will more than double its size, as part of a $377 million redevelopment.
The development, announced today, will see the centre expand to include retail giants David Jones, Big W and a JB Hi-Fi Home store.
A new garden courtyard and outdoor dining area has also been penned for the site.
Preliminary work on the redevelopment will start immediately, but management says major construction works will start early next year, to avoid disrupting Christmas trade.
Stockland’s Commercial Property CEO, John Schroder, says the revamp is about cementing the centre as a top performer in the retail sector.
“This $377 million redevelopment will take Green Hills from strength to strength to ensure it becomes an absolute powerhouse within the regional economy”.
More than 1300 jobs are expected to be created during the construction phase.
